Jenna Lynn Featherstone Books Privacy Policy

Jenna Lynn Featherstone Books is designed as a private reading experience for children and families. Protecting children's privacy is part of the app's design.

1. Information the app collects

The app does not ask a child or parent to create a Jenna Lynn Featherstone Books account and does not collect a child's name, age, email address, voice, photo, location, contacts, messages, reading activity, or other personal information.

The app does not contain advertising, third-party analytics, behavioral tracking, social features, chat, user-submitted content, or a child profile. It does not request access to the microphone, camera, photos, contacts, or location.

2. Information stored only on the device

The app stores the grown-up's automatic-read-aloud preference locally on the device. After a parent or legal guardian accepts the Supplemental Parent/Guardian Terms, it also stores the terms version, acceptance date and time, and confirmation that an adult completed the acceptance step.

These local records are not sent to Jenna Lynn Featherstone Books or to an analytics provider. They may be lost or reset if the app is deleted, app data is cleared, the device is replaced, or device storage fails.

3. Apple subscriptions and purchases

Memberships are purchased and managed through Apple. Apple supplies localized product information and verified purchase or subscription status so the app can unlock the library. Apple processes Apple Account, payment, billing, cancellation, and refund information under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

Jenna Lynn Featherstone Books does not receive or store a purchaser's full payment-card information. The app does not use purchase information to create a child profile, advertise to a child, or track a child.

4. Prerecorded narration

The optional warm Alloy narration consists of prerecorded, AI-generated audio files included with the app. While a family uses the app, no book text, listening activity, child speech, or other child information is sent to OpenAI. The app does not record a child's voice.

5. Support communications

If an adult contacts Jenna Lynn Featherstone Books at jennalynnfeatherstonebooks@gmail.com, the adult chooses what information to provide. That information is used to respond to the request, maintain appropriate business records, protect legal rights, and comply with law. It is not sold or used for behavioral advertising.

Parents and guardians should not include a child's personal information in a support request. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes and is then deleted or securely disposed of, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements.

6. Children's privacy

The app is directed to children and is intentionally designed not to collect personal information from children. A grown-up check used for purchases, outside links, settings, or legal acceptance is an Apple parental-gate measure; it is not represented as verifiable parental consent to collect child information. The app does not rely on that gate to collect child information.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child's personal information was provided to Jenna Lynn Featherstone Books outside the app, contact jennalynnfeatherstonebooks@gmail.com so the concern can be reviewed and appropriate deletion steps can be taken.

7. Security and data retention

The app minimizes privacy risk by not operating a publisher account system or publisher database of child activity. No security method is perfect, but reasonable safeguards are used for adult support communications and other business records that may be received outside the app.

Local app preferences and the legal-acceptance record remain on the device until the app or its data is removed or replaced. Apple controls retention of App Store transaction records under Apple's policies.

8. Changes and contact

This policy will be updated before a future app version introduces a materially different data practice.
