Before you buy
You can browse the library and play the in-app previews for free. Saving wallpapers and preparing matching widgets require the one-time Seasons Aglow Complete unlock. Apple displays and confirms the price for your country or region before purchase. There are no ads or subscription charges from Seasons Aglow. The free preview is not a subscription trial that automatically becomes paid.
Preview the designs and read the compatibility information before purchasing. The library is offered as shown; personal preferences can differ. Apple’s refund policies and your applicable consumer rights still apply.
Still and animated wallpapers: what to expect
- Lock Screen: A successfully saved design can be used as a still wallpaper. Optional Live Photo motion is for compatible iPhones running iOS 17 or later. Animation is not guaranteed on every phone; it depends on the iPhone, iOS version, and settings.
- Motion is brief: When supported and enabled, Live Photo motion plays briefly as the Lock Screen wakes. It is not a continuously running animation or screensaver. The five-second loop you see inside Seasons Aglow is an in-app preview, not a promise of five seconds of Lock Screen playback.
- Home Screen: The wallpaper behind your app icons remains still.
- Setup stays under your control: Seasons Aglow prepares and saves the Live Photo, then guides you through Apple’s wallpaper settings. It does not set your wallpaper automatically.
Apple explains compatible Live Photo wallpaper setup in its Live Photo Lock Screen guide.
Set up a wallpaper
- Open your chosen design in Seasons Aglow. If needed, unlock the library, then tap Start Wallpaper Setup.
- Allow the requested Photos permissions if you want the app to save and verify your selected Live Photo. Wait for the app to confirm that it has been saved. If preparation fails, see the troubleshooting section below.
- Open the iPhone Settings app and choose Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper → Photos → Live Photo. Select the newest saved thumbnail of your design.
- To request animation, turn on the Live Photo play button near the bottom-left of Apple’s setup screen, beside the small photo thumbnail. It may start off. If it is crossed out, tap it to enable motion.
- Tap Add, or Done when editing an existing wallpaper, and finish Apple’s setup. Lock and wake the phone to check the brief motion.
You can use the successfully saved image without motion by leaving the Live Photo play button off. Apple also offers the option to use the image on your Home Screen, where it stays still. See Apple’s wallpaper setup guide for the available choices on your iPhone.
The current app setup saves a Live Photo. If that save fails, it does not automatically substitute a separate still image. A successful save and an available photo are needed before continuing with these wallpaper steps.
Add the countdown or Daily Inspiration widget
Widgets are separate from the saved wallpaper. The countdown is not baked into the photo, so you do not need to save a new wallpaper each day.
- Open the design you want to match in Seasons Aglow and tap Set Up / Refresh Widgets. Wait for preparation to finish.
- Press and hold your Lock Screen, choose Customize, then choose Lock Screen.
- Tap the widget area under the clock. Choose Seasons Aglow Countdown, Seasons Aglow Daily Inspiration, or both. A rectangular widget takes half the row; remove another widget if you need room. A minus sign on a placed widget means it has already been added.
- Close the widget picker and tap Done. Check the widget on the finished Lock Screen, not only in the picker preview.
Daily Inspiration is also available as a larger Home Screen widget. For Apple’s current placement instructions, see Add and edit widgets on your iPhone.
Both widget types follow the most recently prepared design in Seasons Aglow. Preparing another design changes the shared holiday selection; the app does not maintain a separate holiday selection for each saved wallpaper or Lock Screen.
Widget blank or outdated?
Open the matching design in Seasons Aglow and tap Set Up / Refresh Widgets. In the guide, you can also tap Refresh Widgets · No Photo Saved. Wait for preparation to finish, then return to your Lock Screen.
You do not need to save or set the wallpaper again. Daily updates are scheduled, but iOS controls their delivery and a manual refresh may sometimes be needed. If the widget remains blank or shows an old count after refreshing, contact support with the details below.
How Daily Inspiration works
Messages change by calendar day within a curated rotation. Each message theme currently contains 12 sayings or verses, so messages repeat over time; this is not a collection of 365 unique messages per theme.
The Christian Christmas collection and the Resurrection Dawn Easter design use World English Bible verses. References and translation labels accompany the verses, and partial quotations are labeled as excerpts. Other designs use positive, uplifting holiday messages. The selected design determines the message theme for your widget.
If something is not working
The photo saved, but the Lock Screen does not animate
Check the Live Photo play button in Apple’s wallpaper editor first—it may be off even after a successful save. Finish setup and test by locking and waking your phone. Playing the preview inside the app does not confirm that iOS will animate the saved wallpaper.
If Apple reports Motion Not Available, motion is not available for that wallpaper in the current setup. A successfully saved photo may still be used as a still wallpaper. Seasons Aglow cannot force iOS to enable motion, and compatibility is not guaranteed.
Live Photo preparation or saving fails
Keep the exact error message and note the design you selected. Check the Photos permission for Seasons Aglow in iPhone Settings if the error concerns access. Do not assume a new Live Photo was saved when the app reports a failure. Contact support if you cannot complete the save; include a cropped screenshot of the error if useful.
The app closes unexpectedly
Reopen the app and note the action that caused the problem. Contact support with your iPhone model, iOS version, app version/build, and steps to reproduce it. You do not need to send your personal photo library or account credentials.
Purchases, restoring access, and refunds
Apple handles the payment for the one-time library unlock. Review Apple’s confirmation screen for the final localized price.
Already purchased? Open the app’s purchase screen and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase. If the store connection is unavailable and the app shows the option, tap Retry App Store Connection. Do not buy again just to troubleshoot a missing unlock. Apple provides more help in Restore an in-app purchase.
For a purchase billed by Apple, use Apple’s refund-request instructions. Refund eligibility depends on Apple’s policies and applicable law; a refund is not guaranteed. Nothing in this support page takes away consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
